2023 Youth day for kids 5-16. The day will have archery, BB gun target shooting, .22 cal rifle shooting, and trap shooting (participants in the trap shoot must bring their own shotgun shells). There will be prizes for each of the events. Lunch will be provided at the end of the shooting time (about 2pm).
Please pre-register for this event as we would like to have enough food for everyone attending and their parents and guardians.

Youth Mentor Hunt

Event: Youth Mentor Hunt
Youth Mentor hunt is for kids age 12-15 years of age. Each youngster will be with one mentor to ensure safety in the field and will give tips on shooting if need be. We will be hunting over pointing and flushing dogs for this event.
The hunt is limited to the first 15 kids that sign up. The hunters must have passed the Iowa Hunter Safety course and have the certificate with them. Hunters will provide their own shotguns and ammunition. Lunch will be served after the hunt is completed. A parent or guardian must be present with each child.

Join us for the 39th annual Woodbury County Pheasants Forever Banquet. We are planning a steak dinner along with raffles, live auction and silent auction. Ticket prices are listed below. Tickets may be purchased from the chapter web site or from chapter board members.
Tickets must be purchased before February 23rd. Limited ticket sale will be available at the door plus a $5.00 extra charge.

38th Annual Banquet 2023
Each year Woodbury County has an annual banquet to get fellow pheasant hunters and those in the community to gather together in support of our pheasants. Raising money to help the efforts of conservation and habitat that is related to our pheasant population. As well, educating those new members and or youth in why our Pheasants Forever Chapter is important to the sport in our communities.
Fishing Derby

Monthly Meetings
Join us for our monthly meetings. These are held usually on the 2nd Tuesday of each month The Woodbury County Chapter of Pheasants Forever would like to invite all members to attend these meetings. We discuss local habitat projects, youth events, annual banquet or other items related to Pheasants Forever and our local community in Iowa. Hunter Safety Courses 2023
While we all like to have fun in the field and chase pheasants for miles, safety is one of the most important aspects. We promote and encourage hunter safety in the field. Hunter education classes show both youth and adults the proper way to hold, maneuver and practice proper gun care. We at the Woodbury County Chapter believe it is essential for kids to become familiar with gun operation and be comfortable with handling their firearm.
